"The Paul DeAlton Feist Home Page"

I am researching the family of Paul DeAlton Feist (July 24, 1877 - 1961.Paul DeAlton Feist homesteaded in the Cave Hills in Harding County,
South Dakota in 1910.
He married Edith Bush (May 9, 1876 - Mar 4, 1966) in Northfield, Minnesota
on March 12, 1902. Edith was the daughter of John Edgar Bush
(originally of Ontario,Canada)and Emily Van Slyke of Lockport,
New York (originally from Holland).
Paul DeAlton's parents were Paul Feist and Mary A. Feist who came
to Amherst, Wisconsin from Prussia in the 1860's. They had also
lived in Northfield, Minnesota; Waterford, Minnesota; and Bridgewater,
Minnesota.
Paul and Edith Feist raised four sons, Lawrence, Don, Harold & Merwin;
and two daughters, Verla & Paula. Lawrence Feist married Signa
Gran, daughter of Kristen & Georgine Gran of Gascoyne, North Dakota.
Signa had come to America with her parents and a brother, Trygve and
sister, Louise in 1910 from Norway. Signa and Lawrence had four
children; Lawrence "Lindy", Lorraine, Levine, and Lynn.
Lawrence "Lindy" was my father. He married Jean Adelle Skeel,
daughter of Clair Kenneth Skeel and Lavina Alice Anderson.
In addition, I am researching the family of Clair Skeel.His father
was Alfred Skeel and his mother was Addella Stuart, who is said to
be a descendant of Mary, Queen of Scots. Lavina's father was
Gilbert Anderson and her mother was Minnie Bertina Olson.
I would appreciate any information shared with me and will also
share any information I may have as well.
