These pictures show the sword given to William K. Ackley, my great-grandfather, when he was a member of the Knights Templar of the Masons. This sword was, no doubt, worn by William during the parade commemorating the dedication of Hartford's Bulkeley Bridge, as described by his daughter, Frances Ackley Howland, in the text passage on William K. Ackley, found in the "Related Files" section of this web page.
