| In addition to research on my father's Lonergan side of my family, I am also researching Sheridan, Hannon or Hannan, Morton, among others. On my mother's Cook side of my family, I am researching Near, Gray, Grey, Dale and others. I've been working at this for approximately 10 years now and am still fascinated with each new piece of the puzzle. I was fortunate enough a few years back to receive an amazing gift of hundreds of photos, all of my maternal ancestors, going back more than a hundred years. Most are in unbelievable condition. Still looking and cataloguing this miracle find. Have yet to trace the emigration of my paternal ggfather Lonergan from Ireland.Would really welcome any info from other Lonergan ancestors coming to Canada from Tipperary. As well, my ggfather Harry Cook emigrated from England to Canada and looking for info here as well. Please enjoy visiting with my ancestors . . . I always do! You will sometimes observe that I've questioned myself in some of my notes and this just goes with the territory. To any of my family who are checking the web site, I really welcome any updates, notes on living people (even thought these comments will not appear while living), changes or additions to the information, additional photos. Just contact me with any new information. Always appreciated. Still in the process of scanning in photos and hopefully this will be more complete in coming months, as will "notes" on ancestors. |
