Mary Catherine Hume (daughter of William Henry Hume and Sarah Ann Hinkle) was born October 24, 1849, and died March 1936. She married Joseph Andrew Campbell, son of Archibald Campbell and Mary Catherine Haynes.

Notes for Mary Catherine Hume:
Was a baptist. She was kicked out of the baptist church for square dancing, so she joined the Methodist church. She also smoked a clay pipe with a 6 inch stem on it. She smoked 5-brothers tobacco. Couldn't read or write. Loved to be read to,
but wasn't particular as to what was being read. Always made blackberry jam when she could.
