Limbs 'n Leaves -- Fichte, Thiele, Spradlin and Avary

I have decided my research is never going to be complete, so is best to go ahead and share what I have now. Most of the information included is from my own personal research. However, I do have to say that there has been much contributed by other researchers, especially to the Spradlin branch of the tree. I have verified most of what has been passed along, but that doesn't mean there are no errors in the information, whatever the source. In my research, one thing has become evident -- over time, stories get stretched, shortened, enhanced and generally bent completely out of shape. If you find an error, PLEASE don't send me a screaming hate mail... just nicely point out the mistake and I'll fix it if it needs to be fixed.

Some of the names you will find here are Fichte, Avary, Horton (2), Hesson, Hilton, Powell, Crawford, Trimmer, Thiele, Spradlin, Houser, Humphreys, Lingo, Hall (2), Griffin, Junker, Blomker, Hahndiek, Herrman, Howard (2), Buckles, Harris (2), Carter, Stone, Poss, Price, Coats, Grant, Key, Parks, Christian, Pippen, Montgomery, Slyder, Lippy, Nagel, Banks, Cruger, Zarr, Tice, Leverich, Kizer, Armstrong, Cheshire, Barton, Mitchell, Adams, Coblentz, and Ross.

A good many of those mentioned were German, but all in all, it is a good "All-American" mix. We have the English, the Irish, the Swiss, American Indian, and on and on... I have taken the liberty of linking some of the better related sites I have found. If I've linked you and you want to be "un-linked", let me know. There are some old photographs as well. I have used many means of identifying, from aged relatives' memories, what is written on the photos, or identification by those more closely related than I. I happen to have several photos from different sources that have not yet been identified, and would sure love to have some help. I will e-mail them to you if you inquire, but cannot post them all online. I hope to change out photos from time to time so they can all be shared eventually.
