This project was started when I tried to locate John Andrew Fielder my great grandfather. He has been lost or missing from
our family since around 1902. After talking with family members it is still undetermined wether he left or was forced to leave his young family, as many say his wife was not the easiest person to get along with (actually I'm am putting this very mildly compared to some of the stories about her. But in honor of my father and my grandfather I have decided to search the family out whatever the outcome is
As an update, I just found my great granddads grave in Georgia
along with his 2nd wife and their daughter. So after close to a hundred years he has been located. Now my quest is to find out about his ancestry and more about him. Will advise more as it is learned.
Please feel free to examine and advise any misspelling and date errors as quite they conflict in different records. My email is checked on a daily basis and any input would be greatly appreciated.
So enjoy and come back soon, we'll leave a candle burning for ya! Bill

Note: I have located census and death information about GGD even though there appears to be no death certificate. I have copies of hospital records showing his admitance to Central State Hospital in Georgia and death the next day. Also 1920 census records showing him being from Tennessee and his 2nd wife and their child. I also have a newspaper obit confirming dates and funeral arrangements. In the obit he is shown as a High School principal in a little town in south Coweta County Georgia called Harralson. I have not been able to locate any employment records as yet. He lived in Luthersville, Georgia in Merriwether County Georgia. Perhaps I will find out more after the settlement of his daughters estate. Will advise.

I have come to summize that my ggranddad probably did not advise his second family about his first family. There seems to be no indication that they ever knew anything about his past, wouldn't be nice to be able to go back and find this info out like the old fly on the wall thing. I have found property records on John Andrew Fielder's land in Georgia and where his wife sold it after his death as well as court records requesting a years support. There just doesn't seem to be any indication of a previous life for him. All the census records and death reports definitely show him to be one in the same but he apparently did not desclose that to his secound family. It should be interesting to view his daughter's (Marguerite) personal papers and photos. I am really looking forward to this and seeing what backround I can find on them. Just filling in some blanks will be great but I hope to find more. Will update later........
