She was born March 02, 1792 in Lee Co., VA⁸, and died November 09, 1853 in Woodson, Morgan Co., IL ⁹.

Involved in the Emmett rebellion in Ireland (1798), smuggled out of Ireland with brothers William and Michael on a boat bound for Philadelphia, PA in 1799. Family lore indicates an ancestor of John was in Cromwell's army and was awarded a parcel of land in Ireland for services rendered during the war. Have found a John Strong, son of William Strong b. date indicated in Shankill, County Cavan, Ireland (near Dublin) but unable to determine if this John Strong is the same as my ancestor. Requested search for passenger list for the three brothers from Lineages.com, but they were unable to locate the record.
