I am searching for descendants of Isaac & Hannah (Harris) Phillips of Tucker-Barbour-Randolph Co., WV., who were my g-g-g-g-grandparents.
g-g-g-grandparents were Moses & Lamira (Phillips) Phillips.
g-g-grandparents were Marion James & Martha Ann (Jones)Phillips
g-grandparents were Homer Oliver & Henrietta (Phillips)Sturms
(Homer & Henrietta moved to PA in the 1920's)
grandparents were John B.& Lenna Iva (Sturms)Thomas, Sr.

Need assistance or info regarding Homer Oliver Sturm/Sturms. He was born July 5, 1977 in Barbour Co., WV. His father's name was Henry Sturm, and his mother was Artimasid (Black) Sturm. My mother says he added the "s" to the end of the name, but is not sure at what point in time he did this. The graves of Homer's & Henrietta's 2 young sons, Frank & Marvin, at Mt. Zion Cemetery are engraved "Sturm". Homer married Henrietta Phillips at Cumberland, (Garrett Co.) MD. on July 4, 1896. Homer had 2 brothers, John and Rezin/Reason. There may also have been a young sister. Homer didn't say much about his young life, except that when his mother died, the children were split up with different families(friends and/or relatives??)and were never re-united as a family. Homer would have been 10 or 11 years old when this happened. The father remarried, and it is said the children and new wife didn't get along well, so Henry left them to be raised by others. That is about all the information to be had about his early life. Homer died on March 05, 1949 in Hanover, York Co., PA. He is buried with his wife Henrietta who died February 06, 1947. They are both interred at New Chester,(Adams Co.)PA. at The Pines Cemetery, across the road from St. Paul's Church. Buried there as well are their daughters, Lenna Iva(Sturms)Thomas, Gladys(Sturms)Fisher and their son, Archie Sturms.

Searching for information on family name Thomas from Centre Co. Pa. in late 1800's to mid 1900's. Father & mother were Dice/Dyce and Sally/Sarah(?)(Bowman)Thomas. Their children would have been
Dyce/Dice Jr., Ralph, John B., Miles and I think their was a daughter as well. John B. would have been born about 1903 or 1904. He eventually became a superintendent of schools somewhere in New York state, a Riverside school district is the only information remembered. Miles was said to be a pro baseball player, but it isn't known if it was the major or minor leagues.
It had to have been sometime in the mid 1920's. This Thomas family farm was located between Boalsburg and State College, PA.
Someone in the family owned a creamery/ice cream shop in Altoona,
Pa., because my mother and uncle both have memories of being taken there when they were young.

Last family needing help with is Edwin & Alberta (Wentz) Wagner, and their 7 children who emigrated to America from Germany in late 1890's or early 1900's. Children were William Henry, Walter, Floyd, Daniel, Cora, Mary & Florence. The family settled in Lancaster Co., Pa. and somewhere around 1910 William Henry Wagner married Tursie Bixler, daughter of Edward L. & Ellen J. (Houck) Bixler. William and Tursie had these children in Lancaster and/or York Co. Claude A., Robert, Raymond, Guy, Christian William, Ruth, and Velma. Children were born between 1910(??) and 1930 (??). Tursie Wagner died March 08, 1936 in York Co., PA. and is buried there as well. Any relatives/descendants from the Houck-Bixler-Wentz-Wagner side of the family wanting to share info would be appreciated.
