My grandmother Cora Dunn Fry was a niece to the two brothers that rode the horses to Delta to buy land. She married James A. Fry. Both his parents died when he was three years old, and he was reared by an uncle in Indiana. Cora and Jim were married in Indiana, and moved to Delta shortly after their first son was born in 1893. Frank Hacker, Grandpa's newphew came to Iowa and lived with them a short while. The only know relative of Grandpa's that moved to Iowa. Cora's parents moved here for a few years, then returned to Indiana.

They were very active at the First Christian Church in Delta. Grandpa ran a Mill, and then eventually farmed. About 1912-1913, they moved to Davis County, Iowa where he also farmed. They are buried in Bloomfield.
