The Filias of Brisbane, AustraliaUpdated August 27, 2005 | |
| The Filia's were a family of Italian decent, who moved to Australia in the early 1950's. A mother and four boys made the one month long journey by ship to join their father in the land of promise. It was a very hard trip on our mother, but to us boys it seemed like we were in heaven. Our father had already been living in Brisbane, Australia for a year before we joined him. We lived in the West End for a short time, where our younger brother Peter was born, before moving to Woolloongabba where I still live today with my wife Kaylene. The house holds a lot of good memories for me, back to when my brothers and I were growing up, my marriage to Kaylene Erica Enever and the births of our three children David, Steven and Andrea. A family that started out in Italy has now grown into a multi-national family through the marriages of the four boys and their children's families. If you have any additional information that might help to extend our family tree please forward it to me and I can add it to the tree. |
