The purpose of this site is to display the ancestors of the Fink Family in Virginia and West Virginia from 1793, the Blankenship Family in Virginia and West Virginia from 1640, the Meadows Family in Virginia and West Virginia from 1580, and the Cooper Family in Virginia and west Virginia from 1786.

Rev. Josiah Meadows, Revolutionary War Veteran

In a letter dated December 29, 1838 to a Mrs. J. T. Wood of Bluefield, WV, P. D. Fallow, Chief, Record Division, General Accounting Office in Washington, DC, wrote that Josiah MEADOW was a pensioner of the Revolutionary War, certificate number 2123, Virginia Agency. He served as a volunteer from 1778 until the closing days of the Revolutionary War. He served under Capt. Joseph Renfro, Capt. Isaac Taylor, and Col. James Montgomery. He also served in the Illinois Company under Lt. Col. George Rogers Clark.

Valentine Fink, Confederate Veteran

Valentine enlisted in Captain William J. Jordan's 54th Virginia Infantry, Company F, on 9 September 1861 at Newburn, Pulaski County, VA when he was approximately 34 years old.
