User Home Pages: FINNIGAN, MIKA, BERAN
So far I have 2 families on my home page. They are Finnigan's, my husbands side and the Beran's which is my side of the family. If you have information on either of these families I would love to hear from you. I plan to add all of our families eventually so come back and check out this site. MIKA - My Mika's came over from Bohamia or what was then known as Austria-Hungary. I do not know exactly where in Bohemia they came from but I suspect it is from around Prague. They came over in the late 1880's and settled in the St. Louis, MO area. They attended St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church. I have much information to share so if you think you have a connection with this family check out the Mika genealogy report below. Other names in this tree are: Filip, Phillips, Svehla, Franceta, Vanek, Valenta, Sedivy, Sedenka, Ster, etc. BERAN - My Beran's came from Bohemia and as of now I have not pinpointed exactly where in Bohemia they came from. My Beran's came over about 1875 and settled in St. Louis, MO area. I have located much of my info on this family from censuses and the St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church records. I have many pictures of this family some I can identify for sure and others I cannot. Other names in this tree are: Filip, Matejka, Suda, Vanek, Bromier, Valenta, Rogers, Sedivy, etc. FINNIGAN If you are a Finnigan/Finnegan etc. and you are looking for family connections then you will want to check out this page. Our Finnigan's came over around 1847 from County Cavan in the townland of Drumcullion, Ireland to Illinois and then to Missouri. Some went to Colorado and Oregon. I have been working on this family for several years and if you think you might have a connection please drop me a line. I have only been able to track down 2 of many of our Finnigan's that were from Ireland so perhaps you can help me fill in another connection. Our Finnigan clan here in Missouri has grown quite large and we are proud of our heritage. My husband is about the most patient man when it comes to me and genealogy, sometimes he just shakes his head. However he is quite excited when I really find something that I have been looking for, he tends to just smile. Other names is our tree are: Ross, Reilly, Connolly, etc. but the information on them is quite scarce. So if you have a question or think you might have a connection then you are at the right place. On the 1841 Ireland census in the parish of Killeshandra in the townland of Drumcullion there are a few Finnigan families living in the same area and one of them is our ancestor. I believe that the rest are also related but have not proven this as yet. I will try and post those other families on this page in the future just in case one of them might be yours. | FINNIGAN, MIKA, BERAN Updated January 15, 2001 |
