|
| One man's attempt to detail one families history from the first arrival in 1630 to the present. John Finch arrived in Salem Massachusets 1n 1630 with the group known as the Puritans. He was given land in Watertown and lived there a few years and then moved to Stamford Connecticut. He died ther in 1658. Some of his descendents lived in Stamford and then started moving west. Greenwich Connecticut: then Dutchess County New York, Chenango County New York,Broom County New York. After the Civil war some moved to Iowa, Colorado and points west. Some were veterens of the French/Indian War, The Revolutionary war, Civil War, Spanish American War, World War 1, World War 2, and Korea. Other connecting families are also included. I would welcome other information and will respond to questions. |
