260 acres of land worth $700. He married Nancy Millis, daughter ofJames Millis and his wife Mary (Jackson), the Guilford County Marriage Bond dated 2 January 1819. They were married 5 January 1819, a .the home of James Millis with Nathan Armfield officiating.He died 5 November 1867, at seventy-six years and ten months. She was born 6 March, 1799, and died 7 August 1884, at eighty-five years, five months and oneday. They are both buried at Alamance Presbyterian Church in Guilford County, North Carolina. His stone reads:
"In God I have put my my Trust"
Hers reads: "Blessed are the pure in hearL"
His Will was dated 14 May 1867, and filed for probate at February Court, 1868.
