Roderick Finlayson 1866-1916.
Roderick was born 25 February 1866 in Drainie, Moray, Scotland. He married Mary Ladds there in 1888. Roderick was a trawl fisherman. During WW1, he served as a cook on the Steam Trawler 'Vineyard' (Aberdeen) Mercantile Navy. He was killed during the Great War on November 8 1916, aged 50. The Tower Hill Memorial commemorates men of the Merchant Navy and Fishing Fleets who have no known grave.
