Researching the Finnegan/Finnigan Family. The roots in this country begin in the 1850 census in Quincy, Illinois showing Barman Finnegan, wife Anna and brother or son William Henry age 9 (dob: 8/4/1841). William Henry Finnegan married Theresa Ellen Howe (dob: abt 1852) about 1870. Their children were:Fanny FINNEGAN dob: Abt 1868, James T. FINNEGAN dob: March 20, 1877, William J. FINNEGAN dob: November 30, 1879, Lizzie FINNEGAN dob: Abt 1880 Thomas Patrick FINNEGAN dob: 4/5/1882, Theresa FINNEGAN dob: January 22, 1885, Mary Ann (Mame) FINNEGAN dob: December 05, 1887and Joseph L. FINNEGAN dob: May 28, 1891. It would appear the surname may have changed spelling with William Henry Finnegan from the prior Finnigan spelling. Any information on the family lines of Finnegan, Finnigan, Howe, Horn, Ryan, Tucker, Long, Heckler and Eisele appreciated. |
