I am researching the Penman and Balls families from Durham, England. Thomas Penman was born in 1853 and appears on the 1881 British census married Ann Dyer (1864). They had two sons, one named Patrick Michael Penman, 1888.
The Balls family included husband, Isaac Charles, and wife, Elizabeth Jane (Maddinson). They had at least 4 children, Charles, Jane Ann, Florence and Isabel. Daughter Jane Ann (Jennie) married Patrick Michael Penman in 1910, had a daughter named Jane Ann in 1911 and then Patrick immigated to Athens, Ohio arriving in New York in October of that year. Jane and their daughter followed sometime after.
I have seeking information about the parents and other relatives of Thomas Penman, Annie Dyer, Isaac Balls and Elizabeth Jane Maddison. Elizabeth's father's name was John and Isaac's was Charles.
