Generation No. 2

2. JEREMIAH2 CONCEALER (ELIJAH1 CONSELOR) (Source: Charles Martin. Mitsa website.) was born 1779 (Source: Ned Heite. Mitsa website.), and died 1811 in Kent Co., Delaware (Source: Charles Martin. Mitsa website. DE probate date 1811-1814, Kent Co.). He married ELIZABETH MDNNMUNKN (Source: John Carter. Mitsa website.). She died Bef. 1839.

EREMIAH CONCEALER:
Ned Heite on Mitsa website:
Jeremiah Conselor (1779-1811) of Little Creek Hundred was named in the settlement of the estate of his father Elijah in 1801. He signed the administration bond of Benjamin Durham's estate in 1810. His estate was administered in 1811-1814 by his widow, Elizabeth, and by his brother Elijah Conselor, who later married Elizabeth. Children were Esther or Hester, who married first Jesse Dean and then Elisha Durham; Elijah; Hannah, who married Perry Cork; Henrietta; and Jemimah, all
of whom were below the age of 14 at the time of his death. Henrietta and Jemimah died without issue before obtaining their majority.

LIZABETH MDNNMUNKN:
Charles Martin on Mitsa website:
I was very perplexed about Jesse Dean's comment in his 1839 will that " I give to Elijah Concealer the pieced bed quilt upstairs which was made by his mother my last wife." This bothered me so much that I had to examine the original and this I did. In the will there is no other mention of his last wife and there is no surviving spouse mentioned or even referred to in an indirect manner. This means that his last wife had preceeded him in death and she had died prior to 1839.
I believe the Elijah Concealer referred to in Jesse Dean's will of 1839 is the son of Jeremiah (d 1811) and Elizabeth (unknown) Concealer. Elizabeth (unknown) married 1st Jeremiah Concealer (d 1811), 2nd she married Elijah Concealer (d 1825) who was a brother to Jeremiah, and 3rd she married Jesse Dean (d 1839).
The Ester (Hester) Concealer who married Jesse Dean on 29 Aug 1814 is a daughter of Jeremiah (d 1811) and Elizabeth. This Jesse dies ca 1815-16 and Ester marries Elisha Durham. This Ester (Hester) can not be the wife of the Jesse Dean who died in1839.
[Basic conclusion - Jesse Dean's third wife was Elizabeth, not Ester, Concealer. Ester married a different Jesse Dean. DWF.]

Lynn Jackson on Mitsa website:
Based on Jesse Sr's will we know he had (at least) 2 sons , Jesse and William, who were the children of his wife REBECCA , born before Jesse and Rebecca married (does this suggest Jesse may have been married to someone else at the time ???? ) He also had a daughter Sarah who may or may not have been Rebecca's child also. We know his last wife was the mother of Elijah Concilor but nowhere in the will does he mention her by name.
The ONLY Elijah Concilor I show living in 1839 was the son of Jeremiah (d.1811) and his wife, Elizabeth. Elizabeth later married Jeremiah's brother, Elijah, who died in 1826. What if it was Elizabeth who then married Jesse Dean Sr. and is mentioned in the will. She was the mother of Elijah Concilor. This would also solve the problem of there being another, unknown, Elijah Concilor floating about at the same time as Elizabeth's son.
While clearing up a couple of odd problems , this introduces another weird twist to the story.....that Elizabeth Concilor (the double widow Concilor) and her daughter Hester Concilor Dean Durham , BOTH married men named Jesse Dean.

Ned Heite on Mitsa website:
Elizabeth Conselor, widow of Jeremiah in 1811, married her brother-in-law Elijah Conselor
before the estate was settled in 1814.

The earlier mistaken reference to Ester/Hester from John Carter Mitsa website:
DEAN , ESTHER CONCILOR Married Jesse DEAN in 1814, marriage bond signed by Benjamin CONCILOR. John's earlier conclusion: She died before her husband in 1839 and is called, by him, the mother of Elijah CONCILOR. See above about who the mother of Elijah was.

Assumption: this family is Rachel's daughter and son-in-law, but the name error is unfortunate.

Notes for D
EBORIX MILLER:
N.B. Both the probate for Deborix and the disposition of Elijah Consellor's land list the children of this family in the following order: Josiah, Elijah, Rachel, Enoch, Maria, and Robert. But there are problems. Given very consistent reporting of ages, Josiah and Elijah must have been twins born in 1817. Barbara Webster has family documents showing a great many sets of twins in the extended family of John Hughes Miller, but there is no reference to this pair. In addition, we have both tombstone and consistent census citations for Rachel being born in 1813, four years before them. The time span between Enoch and Robert is uncertain, due to conflicting dates for Robert's birth. But if Maria was born after Enoch (1821 or after), she gave birth to her son John ca. 1834-35 - when she would be 14 at most, probably less. Possible, but not too likely - suggesting that Maria might have been older or that the census reference to John's age is erroneous. The land and probate records look convincing about the order, but other sources provide unexplained discrepancies.

Ned Heite on Mitsa website:
Deberix Miller ( -1840) married Sarah, daughter of Elijah Conselor. When he died in 1840, Abraham Allee and James Robinson inventoried the estate. He mentions land bought of Benjamin Conselor. Their children were Josiah; Elijah; Rachel, wife of Benjamin Greenage; Enoch; Maria, wife of Benjamin Hughes; and Robert. He mentions the children of his deceased daughter, John and Rachel Hughes (Hewes).

All those males in the listing make it difficult even to guess who's who. Not Josiah, but maybe Elijah and Enoch. Probably also includes son-in-law Benjamin Hewes and his son John (6). As to the females, the one under 10 could be Rachel Hughes. One 24-35 might be Maria Miller Hewes. Benjamin does not seem to have a separate listing in 1840. Deborix is now 55 or more, and Sarah is still under 55. This indicates Deborix's birth year at 1785 or earlier. On same page:
