ELISHA DURHAM 1864-65
In the name of God amen.
I Elisha Durham, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, considering the uncertainly of life, and the certainly of death, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form as follows. To Wit
First, I will and devise to my wife Priscilla Durham the house and premises on which I now live containing about fifteen acres of land more or less, situated on the main road leading from Dover to Kenton and on the east side of road; beginning at the bend of the aforesaid road opposit an old ditch bank and running northward with and on said ditch bank about twenty six perches to a stone now set on top of said ditch bank; thence eastwardly running a straight line to a white oak that stand in or near the line that divides the lands of John Rheims from my own about sisty eight perches, then southward to a stone that stands on the line dividing the lands of John Moor and John Rheims and which is a corner of my land thence westward up the road leading to Kenton about sixty seven perches to the place of beginning, including the forty perches which I purchased of John Moor. The above described tract of land I devise as above stated to my wife Priscilla Durham her natural life instead of dower.
Second I devise to my grandson Robert John Durham, son of my daughter Elizabeth Durham, now Elizabeth Williams wife of Baynan Williams of New Jersey all of the above described tract of fifteen acres of land be the same more or less, and to his heirs and assigns forever after the decease of my wife Priscilla Durham provided nevertheless if the said Robert J. Durham should die without lawful issue then the above described real estate shall revert to my legal heirs.
Third I bequeath to my wife priscilla durham all my house hold goods, and one third of all my other personal estate after all my legal debts and funeral expenses have been fully paid and satisfied.
Fourth. I bequeath to my grandson Robert J. Durham, above named, one cow at my decease.
Fifth. I devise to my daughter Mary Clark wife of George Clark, her heirs and assigns forever, the five acres of land situated on the north line of the whole tract, on which the house, now in tenure of George Clark stands as his full share of my real estate.
Sixth. I order and direct that my executor, herein after named, shall sell and dispose of all the remainder of my real estate, being about sixty acres to the highest and best bidder, sometime within one year after my decease, for the use and benefit of my other children and their heirs, to be divided among them as follows, to wit.
To Joel Durham one seventh
To Isaac Durham one seventh
To The heirs of Elijah Durham dec'd namely Isaiah Durham, Elijah Durham and Mary Catherine Durham one seventh. To be paid to them severally as each shall arrive at the age of twenty one years.
To Elisha West Durham one seventh
To John West Durham one seventh
To David West Durham one seventh
To Elizabeth Williams wife of Baynan Williams one seventh
To Hester Driggus wife of David Driggus one seventh
Seventh I bequeath all the remainder of my estate of whatever nature, after all my debts and funeral expenses have been paid as herein before provided to be equally divided between my eight children or their heirs equally, share and share alike.
Eighth. I hereby constitute and appoint James S. Moor of Moorton my executor of my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this the twentieth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty four.

A continuation of the above will is that I appoint and constitute the above named J. S. Moor executor of my wife if the above named Robert John Durham stays with Pricilla Durham the term of three years he is to receive one hundred dollars, if six years two hundred dollars, if he stays with her till death he receive the above named fifteen acres of land which I bequeath to her if he does not stay the land above named revert to Hester Ann William a half sister to said Robert J. Durham.

Perry (Peregrine) Cork (c. 1800 - 1865), son of Peregrine Cork the elder, was said to have been the last full-blooded Indian in Kent County, married Hannah, daughter of Jeremiah Conselor. A newspaper article dated 1943 contained a photograph of his grandson, Perry Hughes, with his hominy mortar, fashioned out of a gum log. His son John married Mary Viney in 1857. His daughter Harriet was born in 1834. His daughter Deborah married John Hughes. His daughter Hester (1841-1904) married James H. Munce in 1862.

Connection to parents not proven yet. We have only strong circumstantial facts to indicate that it is a reasonable possibility. She was married prior to the 1850 census; when the family moved to Michigan, she and her husband also did; after she lived in Gratiot Co. and became a widow, she returned to Wayne Co. near her parents to remarry, indicating probable frequent contacts with the supposed parents prior to that time.
