Peregrine Handsor, Jr. (1822 - ) of Appoquinimink Hundred was born about 1822, married Sarah Sammons, daughter of Benjamin, and moved to Canada. The 1850 United States census lists children Sarah, Prudence, Henry and Nancy. There were ten children in all, born both in the United States and in Canada. A son, William, lived in Wallaceburg, Ontario, in later years.

The 1891 census ("widower") implies that Margaret died before then and was probably the mother of the children up through Annie. Because there was no son Alfred in 1891, he and some of the remaining children might be of Frances and an earlier partner.

Floyd Handsor's files have a list of children completely different except for Margaret/Maggie and Charles, whose mother he reports as Margaret Handsor.
