Descendants of William SISCO

Generation No. 1

1. WILLIAM1 SISCO (Source: By deduction from 1840 census.) was born Bet. 1776 - 1794 (Source: 1820 census.), and died ca. 29 May 1829 in Delaware (Source: Lynn Jackson.). He married HANNAH MDNNMUNKN (Source: 1850 census.). She was born ca. 1785 (Source: By deduction from 1820, 1830, and 1840 censuses.), and died Aft. 1840 (Source: 1840 census.).

Notes for W
ILLIAM SISCO:
1820 DE New Castle Appoquinomink 100 p152st
Wm Scisco [Visco in index] with free colored 1-1-2-0--2-0-2-0
The numbers indicate two families living together, with two couples in the age range 26-44.

Lynn Jackson: I have copies of the inventory of WILLIAM SISCO (alias Francisco) who died in Appoquinimink Hundred sometime before May 29, 1829.

The distribution of assets lists:
Hannah Sisco, widow, one third.........$57.58
Sarah Sisco.....one sixth of two thirds.......19.19
Mary Puckham....ditto.............................19.19
Charles Sisco........ditto............................19.19
William Sisco..........ditto.........................19.19
Benjamin Sisco...........ditto.....................19.19
Martha Ann Sisco...........ditto................19.20
The six who received equal shares of the remaining 2/3's are assumed to be children of William, due to the shares alloted. Mary Puckham is believed to be the wife of Isaac Puckham [Pickram], and is likely the only child married at the time of the death.

1814 will of George Sisco mentions a sister Emela (Amelia?) Sisco Hanser and a brother William Sisco. Amelia Hanser died the same year.

1811 estate of Jeremiah Concilor mentions William and Benjamin Sisco. (if this is the 1829 William, this Benjamin is possibly a father/brother, the same Benjamin that appears in the 1820 census (age over 45) and later, according to Yates, moved west to Ohio with his brother, John)

Ned Heite on Mitsa website:
Hannah Francisco (Sisco) was named as the widow of William, of Appoquinimink Hundred, who died in 1829
William Francisco (Sisco) ( - 1829) was the brother of Emilia (Amelia) Handsor and George Francisco. An administrtion account in Appoquinimink Hundred mentions a widow Hannah and six children.
George Francisco (Sisco) ( - 1814) signed his will 10 November 1814, and it was proved 21 November. Luke Rickards apparently wrote the will. His administrator was William Sisco, his brother, and Abraham Allee was surety. He mentions his brother William and his sister Emilia Handsor as his heirs. The inventory includes a loom and a warping mill.
