Descendants of James Songo

Generation No. 2

2. BENJAMIN2 SONGO (JAMES1) (Source: Romulus cemetery.) was born 02 May 1828 in Delaware (Source: Calculated from age at death.), and died 06 Feb 1914 in Romulus, Wayne, Michigan (Source: Wayne Co. Records.). He married ELIZABETH PICKRAM (Source: Romulus cemetery. DAR records. Parentage from death certificate.), daughter of ISAAC PICKRAM and MARY SISCO. She was born 1832 (Source: Romulus cemetery. DAR records.), and died 1923 in Michigan (Source: Romulus cemetery. DAR records.).

Notes for B
ENJAMIN SONGO:
Joseph Romeo e-mail: died 6 Feb 1914 at age 85y 9m 4d. He had parents named James and Mary. Benjamin had a daughter named Mezza as per 1870 census or Methy as per 1880 census, similar to the Mezzy, presumably a sister, listed in the 1850 census. Albert Durham, the brother of Benjamin Durham the husband of Mary Songo, resided in the household of Benjamin Songo both in 1860 in Delaware and in 1870 in Michigan, prior to going to New Jersey.

Romulus cemetery records (DAR 1934-35): Benjamin (Father) 1828-1914 and Elizabeth 1832-1923, but no indication of "Mother". Other records (Downriver Genealogical Society, 1960) show Elizabeth only. With Elizabeth 1832-1923. Have personally observed stone with these dates for Benjamin only. Perhaps Benjamin and Elizabeth are not buried in the same plot.
