The Fischers of Huron and Perth Counties, Ontario, Canada

This family history traces the descendents of Christopher Fischer, who arrived in Fullarton Township, Perth County, Ontario, Canada from Elfershausen, Hanover(Germany) in 1832. In particular, it traces the descendents of his two sons, Henry and August.

The descendents of these two sons settled, for the most part, in Western Perth County and Eastern Huron County. Hundreds of descendents are still in the municipalities of these two counties today.

I am the great-great-grandson of August Fischer.

There are trees included for spouses of some descendents. I have information on many more branches of the family than what is represented here. If you have a query about someone you don't see here, send me a note. Chances are I may have information on them.

This family tree will give you details on over 500 descendents of Henry. The Descendents of August Fischer (127 KB) August Fischer (1843-1903) is the second son of Christopher Fischer. He married twice and had 18 children between the two wives. This family tree takes us up to the present generation and includes over 400 descendents and their spouses. Be patient. It takes a while to download. It's worth the wait. The Descendents of William Hollatz (67 KB) Wilhelm is the father of Augusta Hollatz. Augusta married Henry C. Fischer (son of C.H. August Fischer). Augusta is my great-grandmother. The Descendents of James Rodgers (20 KB) James Rodgers is the grandfather of Ellen Rodgers. Ellen married John August Fischer. John is my grandfather.
