I remember meeting old Johnny Walsh when I was ten years old in June of 1976. He asked me about school and told me he could remember the first book he ever read. He sat in a chair and could not get up. He died less than a month later.

Married in 1926 at Holy Angels Church, Walnut Hills, Cincinnati, Ohio, by Fr. Davis, the pastor. From 1924-34, they lived in Cincinnati and in Chicago. Tom worked as a finisher in buildings. When the Depression was on in 1934, they returned to Belmont, Ireland. Tom spent his last days in a nursing home. His home had been in Castlegrove, Kilconly.
