He was born in 1643. He originated in Saint-Saturnin-du-Bois, in
Charente-Maritime, France. He came to the new world about the year 1666. He
eventually bacame the proprietor of a land grant in Lauzon. As of 1909, his
descendants still occupied this ancestral farm. One of them had his name
inscribed in the Golden Book as a Rural Lord.
