The Fitzgeralds of Newport, Gwent, UK

My research is concentrated around the Fitzgeralds, who settled in Newport, Monmouthshire (now Gwent,UK). The family originated from County Waterford in Ireland, emigrating to the UK during the mid 1800's.

My Great Grandparents, William & Catherine Fitzgerald, had two Children. William Charles Fitzgerald and Catherine. I know that William Charles was brought to the UK at the age of four. He married Mary Catherine Noyes on the 3rd of February 1900 in Grangetown, Cardiff, Glamorgan. They went on to have 10 children of which one was my father, Bernard Thomas Fitzgerald.

William Charles died in 1923 and Mary Catherine died in 1950.

I would be delighted to hear from anyone who may be able to help in filling in the history gaps. I am also willing to share any nformaton I hold.
