| We are researching the Fitzhugh Family who lived in Kentucky then Missouri. Robert Andrew Fitzhugh, b.1808 in Kentucky, married Joannah Grooms (or Gowins), b.1819 in Kentucky. The Missouri Census of 1850 shows them in Gentry County. They had 10 children. One of them was James William Fitzhugh, b.1844 in Gentry Co, Mo. who married Maria(h) Elizabeth (Rye) Bowman. James and Maria(h) had 7 children. One of them was Robert Richard Fitzhugh born 1881 in Pawnee City, Ne, who married Ethel M. Hartin. My husband descended from Robert and Ethel. I would appreciate any information about the oldest Robert Andrew Fitzhugh or any of his ancestors or descendents. Many thanks to all of you who have responded and helped so much. |
