This is a labor of love for my children. I want them to know where they came from. I want them to have a sense of history. I want them to understand their place in time -- small and integral all at once -- so they can be better people, humbled by the greatness of circumstance that put them in the world, here and now. It is a labor of love for my descendants, so that they know who they are in the scheme of things, and remember to carry on our legacy. It is a labor of love for my Grandmother Elena and my Mother Adys, so that they will not be forgotten. There is still much information missing and things I have to correct. I have yet to include pictures, documents and anecdotes, but it is coming along slowly. |
