North Texas Kirkland's

Updated September 17, 2009

My search for the Kirkland family in North Texas has been one big mystery, like a puzzle with it's pieces scattered across the nation. I continue to collect all things Kirkland in hopes that eventually they will fall into their places. Keep in mind that this is a work in progress as I continue my search in hopes of connecting Pollard and Margaret Kirkland to the rest of the Kirkland Clan. My interest and education lie in historical research has lead to some interesting facts in American history as well as family history as it ties together, one within the other. My Guynes Line has an incredible history and is currently being researched under the theory of Melungeon ties, so as you may notice notes made by myself concerning ancestry and nationality as well as my own organization of names under GUYNES, however, the original spelling is GOWEN. I have made every effort to note the different spellings as part of the original name. I welcome comments, corrections, and information.
