This is the first paragraph of the eight page document describing a meeting of eight brothers which took place on Friday, September 14, 1832, at the family home near the village of Kinderhook, New York. The author of this copy was my 4th great-grandfather, Laurence Van Dyck. I have layered this copy over a galactic image to highlight the timeless intergenerational feeling these words evoke.
