I am researching the Mathias Flamann Family tree.Mathias was of German ancestry and lived in Satulmare, Bukovina area in the late 1700's, which is now part of northern Romania.There are three major groups of descendants of Mathias Flaman living in the Edenwold, Southey and Vibank areas of Saskatchewan, Canada.
Mathias had four sons, but only the descendants of two of Mathias's sons have been traced thus far.It is expected that more than a thousand individuals will be added to this website from these two descendant legs alone.
It would be greatly appreciated if anyone associated with this family tree could contact the author with updated and expanded information so this family tree can be kept as accurate as possible.

  • Johann Flamann's Homestead Document (449 KB)
    Johann Flamann Homesteaded in the Earl Grey District of Saskatchewan in 1906 which was then the District of Assiniboia.He later sold the homestead and returned to Edenwold where he and his wife Anna ran the first boarding house.
