THE SCOTT FAMILY REUNION INFORMATION PAGE
I am searching for information for The Arthur Scott Family. Around the 1800's, an Anglo Plantation & Slave owner from the Liberty Hill community, Milan County, Texas, approximately 60 miles from Austin, Texas father a son-Arthur Scott. Arthur met a slave girl and were parents of three sons, Henry, Sam & Megruder.
I have no information on Henry. Sam married Carrie(last name unknown), Megruder married Molly(daughter of a Dutch woman & African American man), to this union five Sons: Robert, Willie, George, Roscoe, & James, five daughters: Bertha, Ima, Geneva, Cora & Vera.
Additional I am searching for any information for Robert Arthur Scott family.
Robert married Bessie Lena Smith, eight son: Robert Lawrence(Laury), James Wheeler(Jim), Maurice(Reese), Sylvester(Dude), Alvin Bert, Edwin Nathan(Ted), Beno(Ben), & Leo Franklin and two daughters: Ella Marie(Sis) and Myrtle Esther(Less).
We have held the Scott Family reunions since 1997 (Slaton,TX), 1998 (San Antonio, TX), 2000 (Abilene), 2002 (Lubbock, TX), 2004 (Austin, TX), 2006 (Texas City/La Marque, TX).
The decision was made to continue to meet every 2 years.
**THE NEXT SCOTT REUNION WILL BE HELD IN THE STATE OF TEXAS-DALLAS/FT. WORTH METROPLEX AREA, IN 2008. DETAILS WILL BE SENT
