Most of my research is centered in England and Australia. Coming from convict stock, I am particularly interested in one particular convict ancestor of mine, Mary Getty. Other last names she used were Gatehouse, Gittos, Gatey and Gatty. She was tried in the Old Bailey for theft and 'came over' to Sydney, Australia on the "Lady Juliana" in 1790. While I know alot of her life after she arrived, details are sketchy about where she came from before she committed her crime. So any information about her previous to 1790 would be greatly appreciated.
Generally, surnames I am researching in England are Giles, Dungate and Butler in Kent; Beasley in Leicester; Batten in Middlesex; Lane, Morris, Legge and Crishop in London; Price and Davies in Cardigan, Wales, Pittman in Somerset; Rawlings and Charlton in Wiltshire and Flower in Oxford. Other surnames include Bentley, Oliver and Worcester. I am happy to share info.
