| I am researching for data on John Vantrease, my grandfather,he was born in 1858 in the state of Tennessee, I believe. He died in October of 1941 in Putnam County, Tennessee. He had two wives, the second being my grandmother, Martha Redmon, from Smithville, Tennessee. She was born in 1904 and died in 1991 in Jackson County, Tennessee. I am also researching for data on William M. Slatton,my great grandfather on my mother's family. He was born October 22, 1877 in Tennessee and died in November, 1943, in Warrior, Alabama. He was married to Mary Ann Morrison, also of Tennessee. She was born August 23, 1880 and died March, 1942 in Warrior, Alabama. They had three sons, Mitchell Daniel Slatton, Lester Slatton, and Luther Slatton. My grandfather, Mitchell Slatton, married Mary Lizzie Stricklin, of Warrior, Alabama. She was born October 28, 1909 and died April 6, 1973, in Birmingham, Alabama. Mitchell Slatton, was born December 24, 1924, in Tennessee and died September 7, 1981, in Birmingham, Alabama. My grandmother, Mary Lizzie Stricklin, her father was Elisha Bee Stricklin of Blount County, Alabama. He was born June 2, 1879 in Blount County, Alabama, and died February 9, 1942, in Warrior, Alabama. His wife was Martha Ann Box, of Blount County, Alabama. She was born August 28, 1875 and died January 28, 1967, in Warrior, Alabama. They had three children, Mary Lizzie Stricklin, my grandmother, and Velma L. Stricklin, and Johnny O. Stricklin. Any information regarding these individuals that you may have knowledge of, I would appreciate exchange of this information with you. Obtaining information regarding my grandfather, John Vantrease and my grandmother, Martha Redmon, has been extremely difficult. In addition, information going back to my great-grandparents from my mother's family has also been hard to come by. Thanks for your help. |
