I am researching the Fletcher family of Louisiana and related families named Romero, Monceaux, Savoie, and Stansbury.
The earliest known "Fletcher" in my family line is Patterson Fletcher, who apparently came to Louisiana from Kentucky some time just before 1830. Patterson was listed in the Census for Lafourche Parish Louisiana in 1830. He was born in either Kentucky or Virginia about 1802. He married twice in Louisiana, the last time to Annie Eliza Stansbury, whose family came to Louisiana from Maryland. Annie Eliza was born in Towson, Baltimore, Maryland. Patterson listed his parents as James and Sarah Fletcher of Kentucky.
Patterson and Annie had three children, one of which was my Great Grandfather, Thomas Clemence ( or Clement), who married Azena Duhon. Thomas Clemence and Azena had about 13 Children, one of which was my Grandfather, Joseph Aubrey. Joseph Aubrey Fletcher married Evelyn Savoie. They had three children, Nina, Thomas Clement and my Father, Evariste Frank ( Francois) Fletcher. Dad married Edith Romero.
