I have been researching my family history since 1999. I started it to find out about my ant that no one wanted to talk about; my dad loved her to bits, but never spoke of her.
Being the curious person I am and over a few wines with my sister one night I decided it was time to find out.
Since then I have been hooked and with allot of help from some wonderful people have traced the Barbourís back to 1580. Allot of this information came from a lovely lady by the name of Sheila Behan, who has been researching the Barbourís for well over 20 years!!

I have spent the last 12-18 months double checking information as I want to put all the information into a book form and give it to certain family members to keep.

I have only recently started to get back into the family history, maybe now some of those brick walls can be chipped away at or hopefully knocked down.

I have posted a genealogy report on the site. Its 86 pages long. As far as I know all the information is true and correct. If you happen to think otherwise drop me an email so I can look into it.
This report should cover the Barbour family. Other names I am interested in are KNOX, & SHIRKIE ON MY Paternal side.
On my Maternal side: GRAHAM, ADAMS, WATT, MCNAUGHT. RITCHIE. To name a few.
