The Enno Flessner Family Home Page

I am researching the family of Enno Janssen Flessner (Enne J. Flesner), who was born in Schirum, Germany on Feb. 15, 1856. He immigrated to the US in 1882 and married Sarah Rieken on Feb. 28, 1884. They settled in Cullom, IL, where Enno ran a dry goods store and became a prominent businessman; he later was elected Mayor. Surnames of interest from the Ostfriesland area of Germany are: FLESSNER, FLESNER, FLEßNER, SCHUSTER, RIEKEN, and GELMERS.
Surnames from my family include: KAECKE, SCHMITT, SCHICKER, SEIFERTH, SANDERS, FLEWELLING, POWERS, and MITZEL.
