Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I am researching my roots on both sides:
My father, Paul Morton FLETCHER, was born 25 Apr 1914 in Fall River, MA. I have traced his FLETCHER ancestors back to Robert FLETCHER, born abt. 1592 in England. I have traced his SYMONDS ancestors to Rufus SYMONDS, married abt. 1822 in Nova Scotia, and his father John SYMONDS.

My mother, Edith Irene KERBY, was born 17 Oct 1922 in Tiger, GA. I have traced her KERBY ancestors back to Bailey KERBY, born 1799 in Burke Co., NC. I have traced her KEENER ancestors back to John KEENER, born abt. 1806 in NC. Both Bailey KERBY and John KEENER were among the early settlers of Rabun Co., GA.

I am particularly interested in finding when, where, and from where the first member of each branch immigrated to the US. I have a significant amount of information to share about the descendants of my grandparents to anyone sharing my family tree.
