I have been doing genealogy for about fifteen years. In 1985 I did a book One Fletcher Genealogy on the sons of Thomas Fletcher. Presently I am working on getting published a book on the Chelette family, the descendants of Michel Chelette who came to Louisiana with St. Denis to Natchitoches, LA. His descendants spread out from there. I also have several other lines in various stages of completion - O'Quinns who came to Louisiana via North and South Carolina and Mississippi with the Halls; Hale and Patton/Payton/Peyton lines that came from the Carolinas via Tennessee and Mississippi to central Louisiana; Teddlies from Georgia; Killingsworths from I'm not sure where to central Louisiana; Graves, Magee, and Ginn lines from Mississippi to Louisiana; Purvises from the Carolinas to Rankin County, MS to Grant Parish, LA; and Wise and Truitt lines from Georgia to LA and on to Texas. I enjoy digging, hate having to reinvent the wheel, and like to share. I'm having a field day with the Internet.
