My ancestoral surnames are: Laubhan, Nuss, Meier, Batt, and Wassenmiller. All were Germans who immigrated from Shcherbakovka and Frank, Russia between 1891 and 1910. My paternal grandparents were Johannes Laubhan and Marie Kath. Nuss who immigrated in 1910 to Russell, KS. My father was Georg b. 1913. My maternal great-grandparents were Joh. Friedrich Meier and Eva Elis. Wassenmiller who immigrated in 1891 to Lehigh, Marion Co., KS and moved to Shattuck, OK in 1901. My grandfather was Alex W. Meier and my mother, Irene Meier. Other maternal g.g.parents were George Batt and Anna Marie Baum who imm. in 1890 from Frank, Russia to Marion Co.,KS. My grandmother was Martha Batt. My "Passenger Manifest Project" stemmed from my own search of ancestors. I decided to extract ALL Ger-Rus from each ship I looked at (currently OVER 200). After 1907 relatives in both the "old country" as well as the U.S. were noted. This is very helpful! Depending on my schedule, generally I only noted the relatives if the immigrants were from Shcherbakovka or Frank or other neighboring Volga villages that I am also interested in myself. Hopefully, the info that I have extracted will help you determine if your ancestors is on one of these ships and you may then choose to order in the microfilm yourself and get more details (and see how much fun it is to extract from microfilm)! My husband is from the line of Peter Flickinger who immigrated to Somerset Co., PA; thru the line of Jesse Michael from Wayne Co.,OH; then Fremont and Harold Flickinger in Kansas.
