2. ABSALOM CAIN SLOAN² M.D. (JEREMIAH NELSON¹ SLOAN) was born October 22, 1822 in Christian, Co. ,Kentucky, and died March 11, 1899 in Walnut Grove, Greene Co., Missouri. He married MARY JANE HAMILTON¹ February 08, 1848 in Polk Co., Missouri¹, daughter of ELIJAH HAMBLETON and SARAH BROWN. She was born October 25, 1826 in McMinn Co., Tennessee, and died January 30, 1894 in Walnut Grove, Missouri.

      He made his home in Walnut Grove until his death in1899, having been in active medical practice for forty years.
