10. MARY PAYNE² FLOOD (JOHN¹) was born December 12, 1777 in Buckingham Co., VA, and died January 1853 in Logan Co., KY. She married ROBERT MOSELEY 1800 in Buckingham Co., VA. He was born 1750 in VA, and died 1829 in Logan Co., KY.

Notes for ROBERT MOSELEY:
      According to the will left by Robert in 1829, he left his wife Mary "the land whereon I live to dispose of as she sees proper..." He apparently had already provided for all children except Harriett and William. In 1853 Mary P. Moseley named her daughter Harriett L. Moseley as executor and left 1/2 of her land to Harriett and the balance to her son William H. Moseley.
      Robert and Mary are buried on the farm which is located Northwest of Adairville on the Northwest corner of the Franklin-Keysburg Road and the Spring Valley Church Road, there are no stones marking the graveyard or graves.

Notes for JAMES HENRY FLOOD:
James is shown as being age 7 and a son of Benjamin in the 1850 census. The 1850 motality schedule shows that Nancy Flood, wife of Ben died in 1850. Nancy could have been nicknamed Hannah or Hannah could have died and Ben remarried. No records have been found to show Hannah died or that Ben remarried to a Nancy. James is listed for now with the other children until proof otherwise. Note from Beth Flood.
