I am researching the families of CLARK/CLARKE, MUEHLENHOFF, MCHALE, RICHARDS, RUNALS, ROGERS, WHITFORD, BENNALLACK, KINSMAN, DAW, TREEBY. The Clark/McHale family settled in Brooklyn, Powershiek County, Iowa coming from County Mayo, Ballina and Killala. The Muehlenhoff's came from Germany, a little village called Karienseik, in the Lippe-Detmold area and settled in Stephenson County, Illinois. The Whitford's/Runals were from Redruth and Gwennap, Cornwall, England. The Richards/Rogers family were from Illogan, Cornwall, England area. The Kinsman's came from Tavistock, Devonshire, England. The Bennallack's are from the North Brentor/Tavistock area. Do know that the Kinsman and Bennallack's were married in Devon. The families from Cornwall and Devon settled in Mineral Point and Dodgeville, Iowa County, Wisconsin. Have discovered that the father of Ralph Benneallack, William Bennallack was born in St. Agnes, Cornwall, England, but migrated to Devonshire and that is where his son Ralph was born.
