I am currently researching the above mentioned families. (And extended families from our tree.) Any input would be appreciated.
As you will notice, many relatives from the Klooster/Deluca side came from Europe. My Grandfather,Pieter Deitrich, came from Juist-OstFriesland. He had 12 or so brothers and one sister,Clara. The eldest brother was Gareldt, next was Albert. Pieter became an able seaman and left home at 13. Pieter Deitrich's mother was awarded the Iron Cross for having so many male children. My grandmother,Barushka Marushka Frankova, was from near Prague, a town called Lnare. She had an elder full sister Marie and a brother who died young. She also had 3 or more half siblings, her favorite being her half sister Basjenka. Barushka left Prague in 1921.
The DeLuca/Muratore side came from Italy. Pietro DeLuca had 6 siblings - that I know of:Rosario(Died from Pneumonia after diving into water);Salvatore-wife Francesca Trioli;Dominic -wife Maria Bancaldo (Lived in U.S. 25 years then returned to Sicily); Maria - husband Anthony DeSalva;Carmelo - involved in the inport/export business.(He pospered here and then retired to his home town in Sicily, in the house owned by the family.) Anna Muratore came to the U.S. around 1894. She had a brother named Antonio, who married ,settled in Naples ,and had two children- David and Rosa.
I am especially interested in finding any information about Simon Edward Weil. He was a Jewish gentleman who converted to Catholicism on his death bed. I have not been able to locate much information about him.
The Finnegan/Flanagan family could use some help as well, But there is not much to go on I'm afraid.
Please contact me via e-mail. I will respond quickly.
I am indebted to the Office of the Town Clerk of Nantucket, especially Ms. Carpenter, Assistant Town Clerk , for unfailing cooperation. All the information obtained concerning Edward Fisher Alley and his family has been predicated on original information provided by this office.
I would also like to thank Neil and Lynda Triolo, and Tony Triolo for their wonderful help in gathering information connected with this family name. It is a constant source of pleasure to meet such generous people.
