As a Novice to Geneology it may be a while before this site will be of any significance. But I will strive to improve the family information available as I progress in learning. I have special interest in finding data about my great grandfather, Valentine Foltz (Born Nov. ?, 1840 and married to Sydney J. [Murrell, or Meryll, or Merrell?] in Indianapolis, Indiana 27 Sept. 1865). Little has been available from relatives in the Midwestern U.S. It is suspected that he may have a less than reputable background from his life in either Austria or Germany. My grandfather often spoke of fond memories of Indianapolis, but his father was an abusive drinker which gave him few other good memories of life in Indiana. Bad or not, I want to know more about him and his family. Anyhow, this is where I begin! |
