Notes for Charity Baker:
Being devout Christians of the Baptist faith, Moses and his relatives lost no time in joining a church. On June 15, 1787, the Marble Creek Church of Fayette County, Kentucky was organized. James Fryer and Martin Stafford, husbands of two of Moses Baker's daughters, were among the charter members. In 1788, these Bakers joined the church: Moses Baker Sr., Moses Baker Jr., John Baker - son of Moses Baker, John Baker and his wife Haley - one of the sons of Michael Baker, Joseph Baker and Peleg Baker - also sons of Michael and David Baker. The wives of those who were married also joined the church. (History of Marble Creek Church.)
Notes for Martin Stafford:
Martin evidently had an illegitimate child with Mary Coleman.
