Main web page:

My Indiana FOLLIS Family started with the marriage of Thomas Jefferson FOLLIS to Catherine EIKENBERRY in Union County Indiana in 1841.
His parents were Jacob FOLLIS and Hannah KINGERY of Ohio, married in 1818 Greene County Ohio. His brother William Martin FOLLAS moved to Delphos, Van Wert County Ohio and brother Isaac K.(ingery) FOLLIS moved to Ross County Ohio.

Thomas and Catherine EIKENBERRY FOLLIS had moved to Miami County Indiana by 1860, Catherine died in 1864. Thomas moved to Wabash County, Indiana by 1870, he died in 1882. His son Thomas Jefferson FOLLIS is my great-grandfather and is buried in Fort Wayne, Allen County Indiana.

Some of Thomas and Catherine's family stayed in the Wabash and Huntington County area, one family moved to Grant County Indiana another family moved to Michigan. Some of uncle Williams family in Cass County moved west to Kansas and Idaho. Distant cousin Turner W. FALLIS's Quaker family was also in Grant County Indiana in the 1800's and later moved west to Washington.

I do not know how the FOLLIS families living in Indianapolis, Indiana are related, although I am sure we are, possibly by way of the Kentucky or Missouri FALLIS lines.

Thomas Jefferson FOLLIS had a couple of sisters married to WEBB's living in Randolph County. A Jacob FALLIS was living in Peru, Miami County Indiana and died in 1853, that must be related but I cannot make the connection. A couple cousins John R. and James FALLIS in Fountain County Indiana were 'millers' and purchased land in Wabash County around 1855.

Thomas's grandparents were Isaac FALLIS and Mercy VAUGHN of Greene County Ohio. They were married in 1797 Shenandoah County Virginia. They left Virginia for Lincoln County Kentucky before 1810 arriving in Ohio about 1813. Isaac FALLIS was the son of Jacob FALLIS and Sarah SPRINGER of Shenandoah/Page County Virginia. Jacob FALLIS died about 1797 and was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Cheldon) FALLIS. Thomas FALLIS's will was recorded in 1756 Frederick County Virginia. Thomas recorded a deed in 1731 Monmouth County New Jersey while living in Burlington County New Jersey. I am seeking additional information before this time.

I am also looking for information on FOLLIS/FALLIS's anywhere in the United States or home country of Ireland/Scotland.

I would like to share information with anyone on possible FALLIS/FOLLIS relatives. I have used William Stuart FALLIS's family tree as the basis for my research and have a lot of information on these and other FALLIS families. I have lots of unattached FALLIS families that I need help connecting to this tree.
