The surnames I am researching are: Craig, Nixon, Phelps, Moore, and Fontenot. The Craig name is from Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and South Carolina. The Nixon name is from my grandmother and her sister who married one of my grandfather's brothers. The Phelps name I have traced from Iowa back to England. The Moore name is from Iowa. And the Fontenot name is from Louisiana.The Craig and Nixon names are from my mother's side of the family. The Moore and Phelps from my father's side of the family. And the Fontenot I was married to for awhile. I'm trying to find his side of the family for my children.
