Updated July 29, 2004

I am starting research on my grandmother's brother, William Thomas Edwards, born 1900 in Millbrook, Cornwall, England. It is believed that sometime after his mother's death in 1907, he was sent to Canada as a Home Child. I've found a William Edwards arriving in Canada February 17, 1912 with a Mrs. Birt's party and destined for Knowlton, Quebec. I'm also looking for a Charles Edwards, Williams father, who is believed to have come to Canada also after his wife's death in 1907, joined the Royal Canadian Navy, remarried and had a second family.
