• William Foote's Effingham Plantation (147 KB)
  Effingham was built by William Alexander in approximately 1777. After William Died in 1814, his son Lawrence inherited the property. In January, 1829 William Foote and his wife Sarah Alexander, daughter of William Alexander, purchased Effingham. William occupied the Plantation until his death in March, 1833.

  Melinda Rachel Pardonner married William Thomas Foote on 17 February 1903 in Colorado County, TX. They were the parents of Arzelia (Bunnie), Velma, and Barkley (my father).
